Angela Evans has been a clinician in Adelaide from 1990 – 2016, an adjunct Associate Professor at La Trobe University, Visiting Professor at the University of Barcelona, and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Western Australia.

Between 2005 and 2022, Angela worked pro bono with the International Red Cross Committee (ICRC) and with Walk for Life Clubfoot – both projects to teach the ‘gold standard’ Ponseti method for paediatric club foot correction in Vietnam and Bangladesh, respectively.

At La Trobe university, Associate Professor Evans collaborates with Honours degree students in addressing healthcare and climate change, with particular emphasis on the benefits of active travel for both human and planet health. Other collaborative works and supervision have included paediatric flat foot, paediatric growing pains, Down syndrome foot posture, Achilles tendinopathy, obesity and osteoarthritis.

Angela’s main interest is the nexus between research and clinical practice, such that paediatric patients become recipients of best available evidence-based care, with unnecessary treatment minimised.
